All of the colour terms have the following senses across their aspects:

		a normal colour				white
		a faded / tainted colour				off-white, yellowed white
		a lasting pure colour				(still) brilliant white
		(rare: a colour change just before it is completed)				almost whitened
		the target of a colour change				whitening
		an unusual colour				kind of off-white-ish
		X-ness (the abstract concept of the colour)				whiteness
		the adjectival form				white
