Locative expressions
Qohenje has no verb "to be". Formations of the type "X is at/in/on/under.. Y" in Qohenje commonly take the form of simple intransitive postpositional phrases employing one of the five common verbs that are used to indicate location (although any verb can be used, sense permitting), e.g. Y-Po AUX VB TR-X
- - "to be standing (NOR)" (used for animates). The TR will be AG case.
- - "to have been placed "(COM) (used for manipulable objects). The TR will be PT case.
- - "to have been left" (COM) (used for non-manipulable man-made objects, including buildings, cities, countries, etc.). TR will be PT.
- - "to have fallen" (COM) (used for non-manipulable inanimate natural objects, such as montains, rivers, lakes etc.). TR will be PT.
- - "to grow" (NOR) (used for plants). TR will be PT.

But of course, there is nothing special about such formations — they are simple postpositional phrases — and any verb can be used in the same context, sense permitting.
